Just a day here so a quick look round Funchal on a lovely warm day after breakfast on the balcony. Slightly over a km to Reid’s Palace, so where else for a light lunch after a gentle walk through the park? All the flowers are beginning to come out and the watering has already started.
Resisting souvenirs and more lace than you can shake a stick at, so budget under control.
As soon as we sailed our berth was taken by a French ‘assault ship’ – maybe one we will have to share before long? Sailaway party good as always.
Evening entertainment has been very good, watched Kevin Branagh as Henry V after dinner.
Tenerife next stop, just over 270 miles South, so getting warmer!
